(Literally: take someone on the arm
Meaning: tease someone)

The phrase originated around 1850 and means to trick, to deceive someone. It refers to the gullibility of children who can be easily taken in the arm because of their low body weight.

At the age of 16 Regina Rilke spent 1 year in San Antonio, Texas and from then on she became passionate about languages and traveling.
